"I know what it's like to be in pain... to search everywhere and try everything...to be told by the experts that I'll have to live with it, I'll need to have surgery...to become discouraged, depressed and to feel helpless, hopeless about ever feeling normal again. I know what it's like to have my whole life completely change in an instant with an accident or injury. I know the flavor of several types of pain personally. And I know how it feels to become whole again."
MARY WRIGHT, BSN, CMT, NCTMB
a body therapist and nurse with 30 years experience helping people solve pain problems. From a sprained ankle last month, to a shrapnel injury in WWII, to a car accident three years ago, to a roller skating injury 60 years ago, to abuse that feels like it's still stuck in the body, to surgery 10 years ago, to an old football injury...I work with it all...I've seen almost everything...and I love a challenge.
I'm a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), hold National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) in California, and registered nurse (RN) in Minnesota. I've had advanced training and certification in Mayan Abdominal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Connective Tissue Massage, Somato-emotional Release, Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Frequencies of Brilliance, Craniosacral Therapy, Musculoskeletal Therapy, Anatomy Trains, etc. All I've learned and experienced have contributed to the work I do today.
I feel grateful to have been given the gift of being able to feel, with my hands, what most people cannot. I've also been blessed with the ability to significantly normalize tissue that has been injured, by using a technique I've developed over the years - see Microfascial Tissue Conditioning (tm).
Helping people who suffer with pain is my passion. It has taken me around the world to study with the physicians, shamans, osteopaths, energy workers, and others who have been on the cutting edge with something to offer people in pain.
My professional pain practice was based in the Minneapolis/St Paul, MN area for 25 years, and in Santa Barbara since 2011.
So, if you've suffered long enough, take a step toward relief! You'll know, during your first session, if this is the help you've been looking for.
I wish you the best on your journey to health, where ever that may take you!
